Our management

Kathleen joined Hiscox in January 2021 as Chief Executive Officer, Hiscox Re & ILS. Previously Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton Re, Kathleen spent her early career at ACE in a variety of actuarial and underwriting roles, rising to Chief Underwriting Officer for International Property at ACE Tempest Re in 2005. Kathleen joined Hamilton Re in 2013 as Chief Underwriter (Property), and was appointed CEO in 2014, a post she held until 2020. Kathleen is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, served in 2020 as the Chair of the Reinsurance Association of America, and is the former Chair of Women in Reinsurance – an organisation she co-founded. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Drexel University, Philadelphia, was inducted into The Drexel 100 alumni hall of fame in 2019, and currently serves on the Drexel University Board of Trustees.

Matt joined Hiscox in January 2022 as Chief Underwriting Officer for Hiscox Re & ILS. Prior to Hiscox, he was Head of Reinsurance at MS Amlin. Matt spent his early career at Kiln Syndicate in a variety of underwriting roles, rising to Deputy Active Underwriter for Kiln Reinsurance. He joined Argo Re as Chief Underwriting Officer of Argo Re Short Tail and later became President, before moving to Ariel Re as Active Underwriter S1910 & Deputy Global Head of Reinsurance. Matt is ACII qualified and holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Business Studies from the Queen Mary College, University of London as well as an MBA from Henley Management College.

Andrew joined Hiscox in 2000 in a technical role for the Hiscox Group reinsurance purchase team before taking on wider responsibilities as Reinsurance Information Manager in 2005. His analytical and commercial skills led him to successfully transition into a reinsurance underwriting role in 2010. With 17 years of experience working across the business, he has helped grow our business capability on different fronts, from analytics and underwriting to our underwriting platform development and ensuring pricing rigour across multiple lines.

Minesh joined Hiscox in May 2023 as Director of Underwriting Risk. Prior to Hiscox, Minesh was Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer of Hamilton Re. He spent the early part of his career with Platinum Underwriters in a variety of roles focused on reserving, pricing, capital modeling and business planning. Minesh is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the London School of Economics. 

Paul joined Hiscox in January 2020 as Chief Technology Officer for Hiscox London Market, where he led the development of technology, data and AI strategies to drive innovation and deliver actionable insights. In April 2025, Paul was appointed Chief Technology Officer for Hiscox Re & ILS. Paul began his career at Barclays Banking Group, progressing from a graduate engineer and rising to Technical Lead and Architect. Paul has also held Chief Information Officer and Chief Data Officer roles at entrepreneurial start-ups. Paul’s background enables him to challenge industry norms and continuously seek more effective ways of working.
